March 20, 2020 Announcement
During this unprecedented time of responding to the COVID-19 Pandemic, we, like all communities of faith, are helping to protect public health by ceasing to hold worship gatherings until further notice.
While physical distancing is important, we know the importance of staying connected with others and grounded spiritually. We hope that you have means of staying connected with your family, friends, and neighbours, offering mutual support as particular needs arise. Please stay connected to Burning Bush Forest Church through subscribing to our newsletter, Facebook and/or Instagram. We hope to offer some spiritual practices in nature both here on the website and on social media.
I hope you stay well. Wild blessings in these wild times.
Email or text Wendy Janzen (226-808-9548) if you have any questions or need spiritual support.
What to expect
Our monthly worship gatherings draw a variety of people: some who attend other churches, some who've left church, some with no church background. We meet mostly in public parks in Kitchener-Waterloo, mostly on Sunday afternoons. Most gatherings include a grounding time, scripture reading and sometimes poetry or other sacred readings, a bit of reflection on the theme, 30 minutes for silent walking, a time of sharing insights and observations, and a closing benediction. Several times a year we also celebrate communion, or an Earth Eucharist, together and sometimes we invite opportunity to participate in a specific spiritual practice or response.
